Absrtact
According to The Environmental Education Act, this project assisted the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) in promoting environmental education and related business. This project consisted of three objectives. First, this project assisted in revising the content of the National Environmental Education Action Plan for 2020–2023, delivering a report on the results of the Action Plan of 2020, and revising the content of Environmental Education Fund. In early 2021, three environmental seminars were held. The national environmental education review board and the fund management board were invited to attend two meetings held in April and October 2021, respectively. Conclusions from these meetings were collected and submitted to the Executive Yuan for approval and later announced on the Environmental Education Information System (EEIS). Based on the policy priority of the EPA, this project conducted the preliminary review of all counties and cities in 2021 and developed review indicators for 2022. Second, this project assisted and guided all designated organizations in completing their environmental education reporting, provided a hotline for consultation, and assigned lecturers for 51 sessions of reporting system introduction seminar. The list of designated organizations was updated regularly, and an analysis report was delivered according to the abnormal reporting events recorded by the online audit function. In addition, this project continued to maintain EEIS-related systems and functions, including the assessment information management subsystem, the learning-hour verification system of the EPA eLearning Network, the function for designated environmental education personnel to register learning hours, and the constant update in the video section. Related data and information were extracted, compiled, and analyzed according to the requirement of EPA. Third, this project assisted in organizing meetings related to environmental education, including an environmental education advancement conference, an environmental education promotion conference, two sessions of environmental education professional development courses, and two volunteer training sessions, to enhance the environmental education literacy of staff and volunteers, as well as to strengthen the communication and coordination between the central and local governments.
